This project called for an A&A on an existing KFC flagship outlet in Alor Setar. The scope of work involves facade, alfresco, interior and landscape design. The thematic design of this outlets was inspired by and pays homage to Kedah's agicultural heritage. The facade was dressed up with an organic timber lattice structure paying homage to the paddy fields of Kedah. Custom timber seating benches were designed so that visitors can dine and picnic in the outdoor alfresco and play area. Interiors were kept warm and inviting and designed to evoked a modern farmhouse. Warm timber seating and elements compliment white washed brick walls, coupled with plenty of daylight from skylighting and glazing looking out to the vegetation and planters. Custom made batik panels were used to dress up a feature wall and bring a touch localisation to this space.
